Man is evil in his natural state due to sin and if you don't be I've in sin man is evil due to his fallibility. He is not perfect and thus has the ability to make wicked mistakes.
I belive that humans in a natural state are an even blend of good and bad. Insticints and the will of survivial will force men to kill, and generally be "bad". However, human compassion exists, and had existed while in a natural state.
I believe that a man in his natural state can tend to be evil, as in being greedy and jealousy. People will tend to want more and feel that what they have is not enough to satisfy their wants. So over all I believe yes a man in his natural state can be evil.
I believe that man in his natural state can be both good and bad. It just depends on the person. We can be disrespectful, unkind and so on and so forth but at the same time we can be compassionate and caring. I agree with Cheyenne saying that we are a decent blend of good and evil. Although sometimes we can drift more to the evil side as a whole.
I believe we all try to be good but there is somewhat of evil in everyone. No one is perfect, no matter how hard we try. Everyone has sinned at least once. So.. Even though it might not be pure evil there is a little in everyone.
I think man in his natural state is mostly evil because of greed. Everyone always wants more than what they already have and usually they want what someone else has because of jealousy. But I do believe that a man has the ability to put aside his nature and be kindhearted and unselfish. The problem is that many people don't, so a man in his natural state is still evil.

This new natural state is evil because of the power of sin in the world. So even babies are born into sin and are natural evil. The only way to break the power of sin in your life is through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only being a born again believer in Jesus Christ can remove the power of sin.

But if treated good and with respect then mad will be happy and be nice making you think he is good. Depends on the situation and how it was handled and how they took it situation makes all the difference.
